Ok guys, I'm officially in the market for a 3rd Gen 4x4 and looking for an SR5 with some premium bits. The heated seats and a 14" screen are all I want but I would settle with just the premium audio package for the bigger screen (Premium Audio Package — includes 14-in. audio multimedia, 400W/120V * rear-seat AC power supply, 400W/120V * bed-mounted AC power supply, and LED bed lights).
After talking with some sales guy today, he said that you can't get just the premium Audio package without also adding the Tech Package (Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), * Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, * large fuel tank (32.2 gallons), Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), * Trailer Backup Guide with Straight Path Assist (SPA), * and digital rearview mirror) and the SR5 Premium package (SofTex®-trimmed * seats, 8-way power-adjustable heated front seats with 2-way power lumbar, dual zone automatic climate control, and color-keyed outer door handles).
That's kinda overkill for what I wanted and all three premium packages totaled up to another $8000.
Wasn't expecting it to be that much of a difference so I went home, and jumped on the Toyota configurator. It looks like if you want the Audio Package with the 14" screen you have to also add SR5 BSM Outer Mirrors, SR5 Premium Package, SR5 Convenience Package, and the Heated Leather-Wrapped steering wheel. You can't option the audio package unless you also add all this stuff with it. Which adds about $5000 in adjustments.
So the sales guy was right and wrong. You do have to add some options, but nowhere near the amount he said. About a $4000 difference in what the sales guy tried to get me on today. lol
I'll probably be looking for a used 24 SRP since the dealers have a hard time keeping them on the lots.
Folsom Lake Toyota had about 20+ trucks on the lots and 80% of those were limited with the rest being Platinums and then a few SR5s. The SR5s though, were all bottom-of-the-barrel base model trims with no premium options.
The Limited and Platinums are SO NICE, but I don't have $75k OTD for one of these beauties. lol

And of course the broke-ass SR5 life. lol
