My truck is aging like a fine wine. With that being said, I constantly see jokes about the active aero. People say it doesn’t do anything. They say it throws a check engine light when it breaks. There’s even a CBI delete kit for it:

In the Toyota YouTube video on how to put it into service mode, it looks fairly useful. It comes down at around 37 mph and supposedly helps with fuel economy and stability. Now, the OEM trust in me wants to believe Toyota knows exactly what they are doing and that everything they say is true… but I have some doubts.

So my question to you guys is this: do you have real-world data? Like actual MPG data or some sort of stability data showing the active aero does anything meaningful? I’m a data person, so an opinion about what you think is ok, but I would really like numbers.
