I’ll be honest — I went into the OEM Toyota tri-fold bed cover expecting it to be mediocre at best. But after using it for a while, I’ve gotta say… it actually doesn’t suck.

The build quality from the manufacturer is surprisingly solid. It folds up fast, it’s easy to use, and when you flip it all the way up to the back window it becomes way more functional than I expected. I do have some concerns about the long-term integrity of the joints, but nothing has failed so far.

There is some hardware you’ll want to check once in a while, but that’s pretty normal for any folding cover. Honestly, the more I’ve used it, the more it’s won me over. It’s been way more helpful and less annoying than I thought it would be when I first installed it.

That said… this has kind of opened my mind to testing other premium options like DiamondBack. I might end up liking those more than I expected too.

Anyone else running the OEM tri-fold?
How’s it holding up for you over time?
