I had the opportunity to be one of the early testers for the new bump stops from Perry Parts. There’s a lot that makes these bump stops different, and I want to be clear up front: these are not the same bump stops currently listed on the website. The new gen is a whole new design altogether. First thing you notice is size. These bump stops are much larger, they’re tuneable, and they’re designed to expand with your build over time instead of being something you replace later. The biggest design change is how they’re built. There’s a base section, and then the attachable bump stop itself. The base stays the same, while the bump stop can be changed out for a larger version, different materials, and more options in the future. The idea is that the bump stop grows with your build instead of being an afterthought. For example, if you start with a 3-inch lift and later move to a 6-inch lift, you won’t need to redo everything. You’ll just be able to screw on a different bump stop and keep moving forward. The design of the bump stop itself is honestly pretty genius. By using 3D printing, they’re able to build internal air channels and chambers that you just can’t easily do with injection molding. It’s not just about the material compressing—the bump stop is actually moving air in and out, which adds another level of tunability when it comes to controlling suspension travel. To top it all off, the packaging, instructions, and overall experience were just nice. You can tell this is an American-made company that actually cares. A lot of parts show up thrown in a box with a packing slip and maybe a sticker. These didn’t feel like that. It felt like someone actually took pride in what they were sending out. I’ll share more once I get some more time on them, but so far I’m pretty stoked on the direction Perry Parts is going with these.

I spend a lot of time off the grid in the pack county. Living and outdoor life style of hunting, fishing, and camping. Sad to say I have also had my share of close encounters in situations that were not so great. With that being said I invested into a Zoleo communicator to carry with me. Yes there are similar products on the market but let me give an over view of why I like this one.

1. GPS+ tracking - this thing tracks my movements and sends and update every 5 minutes to my wife where I am. This is often when I am hiking ponds for ducks or deer.
2. Normal Phone Texting - I am not limited on pre sent messages. I am able to use the app on my phone to have a full conversation.
3. Cell Signal + Satellite - This devices when it has cell signal it will use that if not it switches to satellite seamlessly. What this means is my communication method does not change the device changes for me.
4. SOS - If you ever have to use the SOS function you are able to chat with someone on the other side to diagnosis the problem before help is dispatched so the level of response can be judged.

I have had this device for ever a year now and I carry it every day in my pack. This is because in a grid down scenario this will also be helpful to have if the cell towers go down. This is all part of a chain I try to keep of being prepared for situations.
