Hey y’all,

I’m running the Baja Designs S1 3rd brake light in the hitch mount from Meso Customs, and I’m looking at wiring it through the 7-pin trailer harness. Has anyone here done this before?

What I’m trying to figure out is how to handle the turn signals. From what I understand, the left and right turn circuits would both need to be tied together to make the S1 act as a brake/marker light… but if I do that, wouldn’t it back-feed into the truck?

I remember running into a similar issue on a past setup, and it worked out somehow, but I don’t want to mess anything up on the Tundra without checking first.

If anyone has successfully wired an auxiliary brake light through the 7-pin, or has a cleaner solution for the Meso hitch mount, I’d appreciate the advice.

Thanks in advance!
