It is official! on March 10th the Toyota Motor Corporation filed a trademark application for the TRD Hammer. It is rumored that this is the new package that will go to battle with the Ford Raptor and the RAM RHO.
We have seen the concepts in the past and nothing has been proven but we can except the following.
37in tires stock
Engineered long travel suspension
Wider finders
And hopefully a stronger power tray than the standard models.
Has Toyota finally decided to leave their comfort zone and start offering high performance models? Still to this date Toyota seems to always play it safe and the drivetrain units they offer tend to be that it across the model.
Where as with Ford and Ram you pay more and you go up in power. Maybe Toyota is here to show off. I say take the motor for the Lexus LC500 slap it in Tundra and let it roll!
