2023 TRD Off Road SR5 4X4
Every time I think I’m done modding my Tundra… something new catches my eye—and right now, that’s the Rave Off Road Roof Rack. I’ve been running my current setup for a while now, and while it gets the job done, I’m ready to upgrade to something that’s stronger, more versatile, and actually designed with real-world use in mind. And honestly? The Rave Off Road rack checks all the boxes.

First off, it looks incredible. The low-profile design follows the roofline perfectly, giving it a super clean, OEM+ aesthetic. It doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb or add unnecessary bulk—something I’ve seen way too often with generic racks. It’s aggressive, functional, and sleek all at once. Whether you’re going for a tactical look or a full-on overland build, this rack brings everything together visually.

But it’s not just about looks—this thing is built to perform. The aluminum construction keeps it lightweight, while the modular crossbars and side panels give you endless mounting options. Whether you’re throwing on a rooftop tent, solar panels, maxtrax, an awning, or extra gear bins—this rack can handle it. I’ve seen plenty of setups running full RTTs and lighting without a single rattle.

What I love most is how purpose-built it is for the 3rd Gen Tundra. Rave Off Road didn’t just make a universal rack and slap on a “Tundra” label—they designed it specifically for our platform, with factory fitment in mind. No drilling, no guesswork, and no weird brackets. Just clean lines, a solid mount, and full compatibility with factory bolt holes and accessories.

And let’s talk about functionality on the trail. A solid roof rack can completely change how you pack and travel. Being able to move cargo up top frees up the bed for larger gear or even a drawer system. Plus, it’s the perfect platform for adding forward-facing light bars or side scene lighting. I’m already envisioning a full Rave Off Road lighting setup integrated right into the rack—it just makes sense.

As someone who’s already running their auxiliary switch kit, I’ve come to trust Rave Off Road’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. They don’t cut corners. Everything they put out feels like it was built by enthusiasts for enthusiasts—and that’s exactly the kind of gear I want on my truck.

So yeah… I think this rack is officially next on the list. It’s one of those upgrades that doesn’t just look good, it unlocks a ton of new functionality and makes the truck even more trail-ready.

If you’re running the Rave rack already, I’d love to hear how you’ve got yours set up. If not—keep your eye on this one. It might just be your next favorite mod too.
