2023 TRD Off Road SR5 4X4
Hey everyone,
I wanted to drop a quick update after running the Alpharex Nova Series Projector Headlights on my 2023 Tundra TRD Off-Road for the past 6 months — and honestly, I’ve got nothing but good things to say.

This was one of the first major aesthetic and functional upgrades I made, and it completely transformed the look and performance of my truck’s front end. I went with the Alpha Black finish to match the rest of my truck’s darker theme, and it was absolutely the right call — they look factory, but with a way more aggressive and premium feel.

Installation:
The install was plug-and-play, just like Alpharex promises. No complicated wiring, no cutting, no messing with resistors. Everything fit perfectly, and the build quality of the connectors and housings felt solid right out of the box. Took me maybe an hour total to get both sides in and adjusted.

Once installed, the DRLs fired up immediately and looked amazing. The signature white LED DRL strip paired with the sequential amber turn signals gives the truck a completely modernized look. Honestly, this mod alone had people asking me if my truck was a higher trim level or even a different model.

Light Output & Visibility:
One of the biggest selling points for me was the dual Bi-LED projectors in each housing. These things seriously throw light down the road — super crisp cutoff lines, wide beam spread, and plenty of intensity even without using high beams. Night driving went from just “okay” with the stock halogens to “wow” with these.

The high beams are also insanely bright, but not blinding to oncoming traffic thanks to the projector design. I do a lot of driving through rural areas and off-grid trails, and these headlights have handled it all — no flicker, no dimming, no overheating. Even in dusty, hot SoCal conditions, they’ve held up perfectly.

Style & Design:
Aesthetically, these headlights are next level. The build quality, lens clarity, and internal design details like the “ice-cube” LED projectors really set them apart. They give the truck a refined and aggressive look at the same time — like something Toyota should have offered from the factory.

The sequential turn signals are one of my favorite features. Super smooth, super clean, and they just add that premium feel you usually only see on luxury vehicles.

Everyday Performance:
After six months of regular use, I’ve had zero issues — no condensation, no fading, no flickering. Everything still looks and performs like day one. Even after trail runs and a few unexpected weather changes, the seal integrity and durability are solid.

Customer Service & Community:
I haven’t had to reach out to Alpharex support (which is a good thing), but their rep in the community and forums has been great. They’re active, release updates, and always seem to be improving their product line. That gives me peace of mind in case I ever do need to reach out.

Final Thoughts:
If you’re on the fence about upgrading your stock headlights — do it. The Alpharex Nova Series is worth every penny. You’re getting premium style, serious light output, and reliable performance in one package.

For anyone wondering if they hold up over time — I’m 6 months in, and I’d buy them again in a heartbeat.

Drop your questions if you’ve been considering them, or share your Alpharex setup if you’re already rocking them!
