Hey everyone part of my dad build — I’ve been looking into camper shells for the 3rd gen Tundra and figured I’d start a thread for anyone else doing the same. There are a lot more options out there now than when these trucks first launched, so here’s what I’ve found so far.
SmartCap – Steel modular canopy with side access panels. They have a Tundra-specific version and it’s one of the cleanest setups out there.

SnugTop – Classic fiberglass shell that’s been around forever. Lots of style options and color-matched finishes for Toyota.

Overland Vehicle Systems (OVS) – Their Expedition aluminum shell looks awesome and fits 2022–2024 5.5-ft beds. Great for anyone setting up an overland or hunting rig.

A.R.E. – Still one of the top fiberglass shell brands with full model support for the 2022+ Tundra. Tons of options for side windows, roof racks, and finishes.

Softopper – Lightweight, foldable soft-top cap. Not as secure, but great for keeping the truck bed covered without killing your payload.

Ranch Fiberglass – American-made traditional fiberglass caps that fit most full-size trucks. Good quality and worth checking for Tundra fitment.

What shell are you running on your 3rd gen?
Post pics, feedback, and fitment notes. I’m still deciding which direction to go — something light and modular or a full hard-shell setup.
Would love to hear what’s worked for you and what hasn’t.
