- 2022 Limited DCLB TRD Offroad
Afternoon Yall,
I have owned my Tundra for a little bit of time now and every time I step into the truck I get excited about the features, finish, and everything about the limited package. Long story short I was looking at SR5 TRD Offroad Preium packages and then ended up in a limited and now couldn't be happier.
Here I wanted to break down the top 10 things I have seen in the Tundra in a Limited vs SR5 and my personal experience with them so you know what you are buying. Please read my full experience because I think some will shock you.

1. Leather-Trimmed, Heated & Ventilated Seats
Cloth on the SR5 vs leather with heating/ventilation on the Limited or TRD Offroad Premium. If you are fan of leather Softex seats they are amazing. I love the seats.
2. 14-Inch Touchscreen Standard
The SR5 can come with the smaller 8-inch screen, while the Limited gives you the massive 14-inch display standard. You can upgrade the 8in to a 14in which is direct plug and play BUT you don't get the volume knob unless you modify. Personally just get the 14in its less headache.
3. 12.3-Inch Digital Gauge Cluster
Limited unlocks the fully digital cluster (optional), giving you a modern cockpit feel vs the SR5’s smaller analog/digital setup. My limited has an analog dash. I haven't experienced the digital all that much so I can't tell you.
4. Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control
SR5 runs manual controls, while Limited adds auto dual-zone climate. My wife likes this feature personally. Not a huge selling point for me.
5. Power Seats & Heated Steering Wheel
Limited includes power-adjustable driver and passenger seats plus an available heated steering wheel. The SR5 sticks with manual adjustments and no heat option. Again not a huge feature to me as long as the thing works and doesn't break we are cool.
6. Full Smart Key Access
Limited lets you unlock all four doors with the key fob — the SR5 only gives you driver-side access unless you add an option package. Let me tell you this is huge being able to grab the passenger door handle and have the truck unlock. Didn't except to be such a huge fan of this as I did not have it on my Tacoma.
7. Exterior Style Upgrade
Body-color bumpers and LED headlights with DRLs on the Limited vs basic black/chrome trim on the SR5. The Limited also rolls with standard 20-inch alloys (SR5 usually comes with 18s). Personally, I like the way the premium headlights look. Its definitely worth the upgrade on those.
8. Premium Package Availability
The Limited opens up packages the SR5 can’t always get: JBL audio, panoramic roof, TRD Off-Road Premium. The JBL system is lacking in the loudness departments leaves you wanting more for sure. The panoramic roof is cool but its just another thing to potentially break.
9. Interior Details & Trim
Little things make a big difference: soft-touch materials, ambient interior lighting, and extra trim accents that make the cabin feel more upscale compared to the SR5. 100% the cabin makes me feel nice!
10. Resale & Value Retention
Because Limited comes better equipped out of the gate, it often holds value better than a comparably optioned SR5. For buyers down the road, the Limited feels like a more complete package. When you are shopping you can clearly see the limited are holding value much better than the SR5
