2025 Limited TRD 4x4
Hey guys, I was curious if anyone else is a little disappointed with the 3rd gen TRD 4x4 rims. I like the matte black color and overall spoke design, but putting 20in rims on a “off-road” package seems a little strange to me. For off-roading I really want a good tire with plenty of sidewall so I can comfortably air down and not worry about my rims getting scratched, 20s are about the last rim I would want for that purpose! I would understand these rims for a TRD sport trim that’s a little more focused for street and dirt but for the 4x4 off-road I feel like they could have stepped it up. I get that the TRD Pro is their more purpose driven offroad vehicle, but I feel like a majority of people who opt for the TRD 4x4 have the intent of taking it out in the dirt. I feel like a more purposeful TRD 4x4 rim might make sense.

Would love to hear thoughts on this, do you guys like the 20s? Or would a 17in off-road option (that isn’t the $3500 TRD Pro rims) be appreciatedIMG_5660.jpg

The SR5 has 18s but for some reason on these upper trims Toyota thinks 20s are good...IDK why
Makes zero sense. Worst part about them is that they also bulge out instead of funnel in, just begging to be snagged by a rock or even a curb. I thought the point of a truck was to just smack curbs with no thought lol
