2023 TRD Off Road SR5 4X4
Hey everyone! I’ve been giving some serious thought to upgrading the suspension on my 3rd Gen Tundra. Right now, I’m running the TRD Off-Road package, which has been fantastic for most of my off-roading needs. The Bilstein shocks it comes with are solid performers, and they’ve handled everything from washboard dirt roads to moderate rock crawling. But I can’t help but wonder what it would feel like to take things up a notch.

Lately, I’ve been eyeing the TRD Pro Fox suspension setup. It’s one of those upgrades that’s been on my mind for a while, and I’m getting closer to pulling the trigger. The Fox shocks are legendary in the off-road community for their ability to soak up big hits and keep things stable, even in rough conditions. I’ve read and heard from friends that they deliver a much smoother ride over rough terrain, which is really appealing for those longer trips where comfort becomes just as important as capability.

Another thing I’m thinking about is resale value and future versatility. I know that the TRD Pro’s Fox setup is not cheap, but it’s a well-regarded upgrade that might be worth the investment in the long run. Plus, let’s be honest, it doesn’t hurt that it looks pretty awesome too!

I’m curious if any of you have made the switch from the TRD Off-Road to the TRD Pro suspension. Was it worth the upgrade for you? Did you notice a big difference in performance on and off the trail? I’d love to hear some real-world feedback before I take the plunge.

Let me know what you think – is the Fox suspension worth the hype? Or are there other aftermarket options you’d recommend that balance price and performance?
