What’s up, Tundra fam?

I’ve been thinking about the OEM dash-cam setup that comes as an option for the 2022 Tundra, and I’m curious if anyone here is running it — or has tried it.

A few questions on my mind:
  • Does it record reliably — day and night — or does it have bugs / cut-outs?
  • How’s the video quality? Enough to catch license plates, road signs, hit-and-runs or off-road wrecks?
  • Does it drain battery if you leave the truck parked?
  • Is the install clean? Does it interfere with windshield sensors, rear-view mirror mounts, or the headliner?
  • Worth the $ over an aftermarket dash-cam?
For those using it — what’s your real-world experience been like? Would you recommend it, or go aftermarket for better results?

Would love to hear how it’s holding up in the real world.
