I’ve been checking out the CBI Dakar bumper for the 3rd Gen Tundra and honestly it looks killer. Totally changes the front end and I like that it’s lighter than a full plate but still winch compatible. Being able to run a 30 inch light bar plus pods is a big draw too, and the improved approach angle is hard to ignore.
What’s holding me up is the install. Looks like there’s a good amount of trimming involved, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.
For anyone running it, how was install, did the sensors still work right after, and does the bumper feel as solid as it looks?
I’m really tempted, just want to know if it’s worth cutting up the stock bumper.
