Best Power Banks for Camping/Overlanding – Jackery vs Anker vs Others? Need Advice

Hey everyone,
I’ve been slowly building out my overlanding setup on my 3rd Gen Tundra and now I’m at the point where I need a reliable power source for my camping trips. I’m looking into portable power stations (a.k.a. high-capacity power banks) to keep all my gear charged when I’m off-grid — things like phone/tablet, drone batteries, camera gear, portable fridge, LED camp lights, maybe even a fan or small air pump.

I’ve narrowed it down to a few top brands but would love to get real-world advice from others who are running these setups. Here’s what I’m currently looking at:
1. Jackery Explorer Series (240 / 500 / 1000)

• Pros: Well-established brand, reliable performance, tons of positive reviews in the overlanding world. Good range of sizes depending on your needs. Works well with their foldable solar panels.
• Cons: Pricey compared to some others. Some models don’t have as many output ports as competitors in the same size range. The LCD display is basic.

2. Anker PowerHouse Series (535 / 757)

• Pros: Anker’s tech is rock solid. Super efficient, great build quality, fast-charging capabilities. Known for battery safety and longevity. Also integrates well with solar.
• Cons: Slightly bulkier form factor. Fewer accessories available than Jackery.

3. Bluetti EB Series (EB3A / EB55 / EB70S)

• Pros: Great bang for the buck. Higher watt-hour capacity at lower cost. Known for LiFePO4 battery chemistry, which offers longer cycle life.
• Cons: Heavier than competitors. Some reports of slower customer service.

4. Goal Zero Yeti Series

• Pros: Great eco-friendly brand. Strong off-grid rep. Modular expansion available.
• Cons: Premium pricing, and many features (like expansion batteries) come at extra cost. Heavier units.

5. EcoFlow River/Delta Series

• Pros: Fastest recharge times in the industry. Sleek app control. Lots of ports. The Delta 2 is a beast.
• Cons: Some models are louder due to fans. App may be overkill for those who prefer simple setups.

What I’m Looking For:

• Enough power to run a fridge for a weekend + charge drone, camera, phones
• Solar recharging capability is a must (ideally foldable panels for easy packing)
• At least one AC outlet, multiple USB ports, and maybe a 12V output
• Portability matters — I don’t want something the size of a small generator
• Long battery life and durability in hot/dusty conditions

I’d love to know what setups you all are using on your overland rigs. What size do you recommend for weekend trips? Has anyone had long-term success with solar charging in SoCal/desert environments?
