Let’s talk paint! Toyota gave us some solid color options for the 3rd Gen Tundra — from classics like Magnetic Gray and Midnight Black, to unique choices like Solar Octane, Blueprint, Supersonic Red, and Lunar Rock when it was first released. Then they axed Solar Octane for Terra, and will most likely do the same thing for Mud Bath in 2026.
I went with Ice Cap on my SR5 because it looks clean with black accents and is easy to touch up. I’ve also seen Solar Octane in person — it pops hard in sunlight, perfect for a TRD Pro and TRD OR models.
If you’re rocking Smoked Mesquite or Army Green, post pics! Those colors hit differently depending on light and mods. Anyone regret the color they picked or have issues with paint quality?
