I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Every time I look at this truck, I still think it’s absolutely stunning.
Every year for my wife’s birthday, we take a trip out to Napa Valley. She’s all about the wineries, and I’m a huge food person. Napa has some of the best restaurants in the country.
These aren’t your typical chains or casual mom-and-pop spots. It’s more elevated dining. Not crazy fancy, but definitely the kind of places where you should expect to spend some money, and honestly that’s part of the experience.
One thing that always cracks me up about Napa is how many Bay Area cars you see. Teslas, BMWs, small SUVs, then you roll in with a full-size Tundra and it just stands out. It barely fits in some of the parking spots and people tend to give you a little extra room. But that’s kind of the magic of it.
From the outside, sitting on 35s, it looks big and in charge. But on the inside, the Limited trim keeps everything comfortable and surprisingly refined. It’s easy to forget you’re in a truck when you’re cruising between wineries and restaurants in air-conditioned comfort.
And I don’t know if it’s just the people up there or what, but the Smoked Mesquite color gets attention every single time. I’ve had multiple people ask if it’s a wrap or a custom color because it’s so different. Still stock, just a really good color choice.
Trips like this remind me why I love this setup. Big truck energy on the outside, quiet comfort on the inside, and perfect for doing it all in one weekend.
