Okay Tundra crew — let’s talk about the OEM wireless charger in the 2022+ trucks. Because in my experience, it doesn’t work worth a damn.

Here’s what I’ve noticed:
  • It randomly drops connection — phone goes from charging to flashing that little “not charging” message.
  • My phone gets hot as hell when on the pad, even without heavy use.
  • Sometimes it just doesn’t start charging at all — especially if the phone is in a case or if I’m touching it.
  • Overall, I’m about done with it.
Has anyone else had this issue? More importantly — has anyone fixed it? Or swapped it out for something better?

Is there a way to ditch it and maybe make it extra USBs?

I’d rather not guess blind and spend money on upgrades that end up weak. If you tried something that actually works, drop the details — kit name, install notes, real performance. Appreciate it ahead of time.
