Will we see any recalls on Tundras with the i-FORCE MAX engines?
Currently the recall is only for all 2022 and some very early model 2023 Tundras with the non-hybrid setup. It has been said this is because the hybrid system of these trucks is able to bring the truck to a safe stop in the event of an engine failure, making it "not" a safety risk.
That being said, it seems like Toyota still knows that the engines regardless of the powertrain option are still faulty.
So I am curious if they will be added to the recall, or if Toyota will just continue to fix these engines even outside of warranty.

The orange parts is what is different on the hybrid vs non. So the engine is the exact same. (Tacoma featured here but same concept)
