This is a repeat issue I have seen pop up on the Facebook groups time and time again especially for guys in more humid climates. So, the AC just doesn't blow that cold or strong and with the help of some guys testing we finally figured it out.
How to Fix.....
Run the system on auto. Yup that is it. Just run the system in auto mode and it blow crispy cold. I am not sure if this has to do with Toyota programing or tuning but the system blows far better and nicer when in Auto mode.
What we found.....
Its weird to say but "car guys" or just guys who use the truck like manual control of the system. Want to control the fan speed, if the AC compressor is on or off, or which vents. It the same guy who use only manual wipers or just spray a little bit of washer fluid at a time. Trying not to "abuse" the parts. But for whatever reason the AC system in this truck just doesn't like it. It wants to have its temperature reading and adjust itself. Then it freezes you off in the driver seat if you would like it.
How we found this....
I got together with 6 guys in the FB group. 3 of us ran manual and 3 of us didn't we did that for a week and then switched. Some of us instantly noticed and started switching back and forth between modes on drives and you can clearly tell. But all 6 of us came to the same conclusions that as much as it hurts your inside run the system on Auto.
